Process

Tech Rooms follows a proven process in order to deliver consistent results that exceed our customers’ expectations while staying within their budget. We also have rigorous internal documentation requirements that mitigate oversights during the installation process and reduce the time and costs associated with supporting or modifying a system once it is delivered.
Needs Analysis and Customer Education
The first step in our process is by far the most important step for both Tech Rooms and our customers. This step is an opportunity for us to establish a relationship with our customer so we can better understand their wants and needs. We also take this opportunity to educate the customer about the different technologies that are available today and those that may be available in the future to help them completely understand what options are available to them. This mutual understanding of available technologies and customer needs is what allows us to design a personalized experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
System Design and Review
The information gathered from the needs analysis and customer education stage is used by our system designers to design a custom solution that addresses all of the needs of our customers. This step of the process also includes a customer review phase in order to solicit feedback and additional input from the customer before a final proposal is established. This feedback loop ensures the accuracy of the proposal and minimizes the potential of encountering any budget overruns or time delays.
System Installation, Configuration, and Testing
This step is where the ideas on paper come to life. Cables are run, equipment is installed, systems are programmed, and everything is tested. Tech Rooms will utilize our own installers and collaborate with the home builder and other skilled tradesmen when required to ensure that every aspect of the system is installed, integrated, configured, and tested properly.
System Delivery and User Training
The system delivery stage is the final step in the process and includes a comprehensive review of the system’s functionality in order to ensure that all of the customers’ needs have been met. This step also includes user training, which can include a series of training sessions for more complex integrated homes. We have found that two training sessions a few weeks apart work best because it gives the customer an opportunity to use the system and then ask targeted questions in the follow-up session.
Maintenance and Support
The maintenance and support process is an ongoing relationship between Tech Rooms and our customers. We take great pride in our work and stand behind the systems that we install. Technical support is available in person, via phone, on the Internet, and through email.
